The Porsche Cayman S Porsche Design Edition 1 ($TBA; Jan. 2008) is a limited edition (only 777 are being made) black beauty, featuring a triple racing stripe, blacked out interior, 19-inch wheels, and a lower stance. The 295-hp ride also comes with a briefcase containing Porsche Design’s Flat Six Chronograph watch, a pocket knife, a pair of sunglasses, a pen, and a key ring.

Saab Celebrates 25 Years with a Special Edition 9-3 Convertible

GM has canceled all of its press events and major intros at the LA Auto Show, which leaves the automaker with very little to show off. Since there isn't much to show, Saab is going to quietly debut its 25th anniversary edition of the 9-3 convertible.

The 2nd limited edition 9-3 convertible is available in three colors, Jet Black, Carbon Grey, and Bright Champagne. It's powered by a 210 horsepower 2.0L engine that can be mated to either a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission.

Bentley Azure T

The Bentley Azure T is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6¾-liter V8 that puts out 500 horsepower and 737 lb-ft. of torque. This is an 11 percent improvement in horsepower and 14 percent improvement in torque over the lesser powered Azure. 0-60 mph comes in a fast (considering its weight) 5.2 seconds with a top speed of 179 mph.

The exterior of the Azure T features 20-inch five-spoke 'Bright Finish' alloy wheels, retractable 'Flying B' bonnet mascot, dark tint matrix upper and lower grilles, 'Le Mans' lower front wing air vents, and a Bentley 'Jewel' fuel filler cap.

Inside there is diamond quilting on the seats and door panels, drilled alloy brake and accelerator pedals, aluminum panels and "Bentley" embroidery.

According to MarketWatch, Ford will announce the sale of both brands to Tata on Wednesday. It will be very interesting to see how the deal is embraced by employees and more importantly, car enthusiasts. The big question being, will the public accept an India-based company as the people behind these once iconic gems of British royalty, and feel the same intrinsic prestige and confidence in quality associated with them. My personal opinion is that it can’t be any worse than the way both brands have lagged under Ford ownership. Tata is a huge brand in India with lots of money behind it and an ownership with kahunas, who would like nothing better to do than to prove the naysayers wrong.

I think North America will be its most difficult market. Building the brands back up in Asia, Africa, Europe, and Australia likely makes more sense, than build some momentum and credibility to re-establish the brands in the US and Canada. India in general is making a bigger play on the global market, and nothing changes perception faster than success.

Mazda Taiki, the latest concept car form the Japanese producer, follows the path of Mazda’s “flow” design concept (latest example is what’s probably going to be the next Mazda RX-7) with elements of real-world technologies. The Taiki is equipped with a next-generation RENESIS rotary engine under the hood, and the rear-wheel-drive concept is a two-seater.

The Japanese word “Taiki” roughly translates to atmosphere. Mazda used this name to equate the car’s stretched cabin, short overhangs, and glass canopy with the “protective mantle” around Earth.

The Acura TSX is an automobile manufactured by Honda, introduced in April 2003, it was sold only in the United States and Canada but from the 2009 model year on, will be avalable also in Mexico. Sold in North America under the Acura name, it filled the gap as Acura’s 4-door, entry-level sedan when the Integra sedan was discontinued in 2001. The TSX is badge engineered from the CL-series Honda Accord (or European Accord) sold in Europe, Japan and Australia. However, the TSX had a restyled interior and different suspension tuning when it was introduced. The interior is now standardized for all three markets. In the Australian & New Zealand markets, Honda sells the TSX as the Accord Euro, a smaller mid-size car, where the USDM Accord is sold in the large car category.

As of 2008, the Acura TSX 2008 is the smallest sedan in the Acura model line, other than the Civic-based CSX sold only in Canada.

Aston Martin Vanquish was designed after the “Project Vantage” concept car and remained unchanged until 2005, when the Aston Martin Vanquish S was launched, which had new wheels and more power. It was sold alongside with the original Vanquish and in 2006 it managed stand-alone sales. Approximately 1500 Aston Martins v12 Vanquish and Aston Martins v12 Vanquish S have been sold since the first launch in 2001. The production stopped in July 2007, moment celebrated by the introduction of the Vanquish Ultimate Edition. This was the only one sold with manual-transmission. Many criticized the Aston Martin Vanquish’s automatic gearbox, especially acclaimed Jeremy Clarkson, from “Top Gear”. This change was estimated at £13,250.

The Vanquish has a V12 engine of 6.0 l that generates 460 horsepower and 400 feet-pound torque. It has 6 speed semi-automatic transmission, with gear that changes under 250 milliseconds. It reaches 100km/hour under 5 seconds, using electronic throttle control and has a top speed of 300km/hour. The body structure is made of aluminum and carbon fiber and composite materials. Superior electronic developments allow the transmission to run automatically for sport modes or difficult weather condition, running on 19-inch wheels. The V12 engine was designed at the Ford Company in USA and shares certain components with the 3.0 l Duratec 30 V6.

Volkswagen To Release Next Generation Passat In 2011

The Volkswagen Passat has been part of Volkswagen for the better part of 35 years. It has undergone six transformations from the time it was first introduced in 1973. However, that number is about to change come to 2011 when Volkswagen releases a new wave of Passat automobiles.

Although the new Volkswagen Passat CC is still in its rendering stages, the initial images released by the company have given us a glimpse of something brimming with potential. Based on its current design, the new Passat still makes use of the tripartite design for its front bumper and has incorporated a sleeker-looking set of headlights. Its current design is pretty much inspired from Audi’s A6 Avant, although it’s said to be slightly bigger. Reports indicate that it will maintain the same engine type but will make use of a more versatile modular platform.

The GXP version of the Pontiac Solstice debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show in January 2006. It is powered by a new 2.0 L Ecotec engine equipped with a dual-scroll turbocharger. Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee 2007 is capable of 0-60 mph in the low 5 seconds, 0-100-0 in under 17 seconds and 60-0 mph braking in approximately 110 feet. A new 2007 Super Bee model was introduced at the 2006 North American International Auto Show. New BMW Z4 officially unveiled

After last week we saw two leaked photos of the new BMW Z4, this weekend, the German carmaker officially unveiled their new sports car. When it will go on sale, the new Z4 will be available with three engines, an entry level 2.5 liter developing 204hp (152 kW) and 250Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque, a 3.0 liter (258hp (192 kW) 3-liter engine with 210Nm (228 lb-ft) of torque) and a top of the line 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged unit that delivers 306hp (228 kW) and 400Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque and takes the Z4 from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.2 seconds.

A premiere for the Z Series is the use of a new retractable hard-top, which opens and closes in 20 seconds. Of course, this means that the car is heavier, but to deal with that, BMW has fitted the Z4 with an Adaptive M Suspension system (ride height can be raised/lowered by 10 mm with three configurations available), plus the Drive Dynamic Control function, available for the first time on the Z4.

The new 2010 Mercedes Benz E Class was scheduled to be unveiled in January, the German carmaker forgot that the internet is one of the most powerful mediums and thanks to the guys from Autoscoops.eu we’ve got the first official photos of the car, one month before the official unveiling (which might happen sooner now). The first thing we notice is the heavy influence from the F700 design study, unveiled at last year’s Frankfurt show and from the Concept FASCINATION, unveiled a couple of months ago, in Paris. Unlike its direct competitors, the BMW 5 Series and the Audi A8, which have sporty and power written all over, the E Class has always been about style and class, and you must admit, the new one has plenty of those. The only flaw we spot is the rear part, with those tail lights that remind us of the Citroen C5.
